Notre Dame Day
We are asking for your prayers and support as we travel to perform our The Passion/Resurrection, a two-part, originally composed musical retelling of the events both preceding and following Christ's death and Resurrection. We will tour the West Coast in May of 2025 with the hopes of recording our music and propagating our ministry outside the Notre Dame community. Through the ND Day Challenge Fund, your generous donations will be multiplied for the choir's endeavors.
From 2021–2022, we officially premiered The Passion, then merely a project in the works. Folk Choir members collaborated with professional musicians and a librettist to write the text and music, and they toured the project throughout the East Coast during Spring Break 2022. These members concluded the 2021–2022 academic year in the Holy Land with an integrated pilgrimage and recording of the piece at the University of Notre Dame at Tantur, home of the Tantur Ecumenical Institute and the Jerusalem Global Gateway. Now, having been completed and after two additional tours (once more along the East Coast in 2023 and throughout the Heartland states in 2024), we will bring The Passion/Resurrection to California, and we can only do so with your selfless support during the coming year.
